Listening & Learning: Punjabi Perspectives in Clinical Research

Listening & Learning: Punjabi Perspectives in Clinical Research

In 2025, N2 Canada was awarded a CIHR grant to engage Punjabi-speaking communities in open conversations around clinical trial awareness and access. Through this initiative, we held a dedicated community engagement exercise and developed these resources to share what we learned.

Clinical trials and medical research help discover better treatments, but for too long, research has been designed without enough input from the communities it aims to serve.

The resources below were created to change that by listening directly to Punjabi-speaking community members and families. Through meaningful conversations in comfortable, culturally safe spaces, this project helped bridge communication gaps, address real-world barriers, and make sure Punjabi voices shape the future of healthcare and clinical research in Canada.

What We Heard: Meaningful Community Engagement in Clinical Research

Trust in healthcare isn’t built overnight, it is built through relationships, open dialogue, and genuine partnership. Watch this project summary video to see how creating culturally and linguistically welcoming spaces allowed Punjabi community members to share their true experiences and help guide better, more inclusive clinical research.
